The Men's Fellowship meets on a Monday evening at 7:00pm
and the members enjoy participating in a game of bowls. There is also
a short epilogue during the evening.
This group meets each Monday night during the winter and, as the name
suggests, exists to promote fellowship amongst the male congregation
of High Kirk.
The main activity undertaken is indoor bowling and the group competes
in the local church league. All ability levels are welcome and with
the wealth of expertise available at the group, even if you are
a bit rusty, it shouldn't take too long to get to grips with the
bowls again...
The men's fellowship group has a long and distinguished history
as part of High Kirk. On 14th October, 1963 a meeting was held to
create a group to bring the men of High Kirk together for recreation
and dicussion. Indoor bowling was introduced in early 1964 and by
1965 High Kirk had gained admission to the Ballymena Churches Indoor
Bowling League. In those early days, matches were played in the
Bowling Pavillion on the Old Ballymoney Road.
High Kirk have had a consistently competitive team since the beginning.
