| Our first Sunday Worship service commences at
9:30am. This is a service with a mix of modern songs
and hymns and a musical accompaniment. The service lasts for
approximately one hour and there are creche facilities available and a
Sunday School. Creche is available for the whole service. Sunday School
is for children aged 4-14 who go out after our praise and before
the actual sermon begins. |

 |
Following this service tea/coffee is provided to encourage people
to have further fellowship.
During this time Awaken, for young people in years 11-14 (ages 15-18), meets in the Youth Hall. |
|
At 11.30am we have our second morning worship
service. This is exactly the same service as the 9:30am service. Again,
the service lasts slightly longer than one hour and there are
creche facilities and Sunday School.
Services of Baptism or of Thanksgiving usually take place at these
services.

Sunday afternoons are generally free in High Kirk unless those
involved need to attend additional music rehearsals for the evening
service.
At 5:45pm we have a prayer meeting before the evening service which
is at 6:30pm. This service is one of worship and praise. There is
usually a full music band together with a singing group who lead
us in a variety of modern and less traditional worship songs.
7o'clock club: an alternative church service for children of primary
age where they participate, under supervision, in various activities
including teaching and crafts. The purpose is to teach them about
God in their language.
The evening service ends about 7:45pm.
|
A time of ministry takes place at the end of the service when worshippers
are encouraged to come for prayer. |
After Eight then meets for teenagers from Form 2 upwards and gives
them a chance under leadership to discuss relevant issues in the
light of Bible teaching. This group usually finishes around 10:00pm.
This completes the busy Sunday schedule in High Kirk; a schedule
which offers something to suit all age groups and tastes in a 21st
century church.
All services make use of an Induction Loop system which enables
people with hearing aids to switch the aid to the 'T' setting to be
able to hear the services more clearly.
