Corporate Prayer for Pastoral Care in High Kirk:
• Give thanks for the many people who are involved in our pastoral care – elders, visitors, staff, leaders of organisations and laser groups, as well as those involved in ministering to others through GriefShare, Rebuilders, Ways ‘N’ Means and Marriage Enrichment. Ask God to equip them and work through their care.
• Pray that God will use all these formal structures as well as many supportive relationships and friendships throughout our church. Thank him for those who pray and provide practical help and care for others facing difficulty.
• Remember by name those known to you who need God’s grace and help and ask the Lord to be especially real to all whose problems are known to him alone.
• Pray that no one will feel undervalued or forgotten, asking that people will experience compassion, understanding and acceptance from others in our church family.
• Praise God for those whose Christian walk has been strengthened through adversity and pray that our pastoral care will always draw the hurting closer to him.
