It was a paradise like no other: An idyllic garden in the centre of a brand new world. Intelligently designed, landscaped and ordered into perfection. The Designer did not keep the garden to himself. He gave it as a gift to man and woman, for them to enjoy, explore and populate. In the garden, there was unimaginable harmony; birds, animals and humans all co-existed in this utopian paradise. There was sunshine, rivers, fruit trees, meadows, grassy hills and vibrant colours. Joy and laughter was carried on the breeze and with it came gentleness, love, peace and kindness. And the Father breathed his song of love over the garden day and night. But the garden paradise would soon be corrupted. One act of selfishness would usher in a new order characterised by darkness and death. Eden, now a lost paradise, would witness murder, shame, deceit, and pain. But this lost paradise is not beyond redemption. For in the gentle breeze you can still hear the word of the father and his unending song of love. Eden: A Paradise Lost is systematic exposition of Genesis 3 and 4 and commences on Sunday 8th January 2012 at the morning services.
