In August, for the first time in the history of High Kirk, we had our first outdoor church service in the People's Park. Many, both young and old, came together to worship and give praise - whatever the weather - to the one true God that we adore.

During July 2011, we had both a Junior Holiday Club and a Senior one.
The theme of the Junior Holiday club was "Kings and Queens At the Palace". P1 to P3 were in "Little Treasures", P4 and P5 were in "Princes and Princesses" and P6 and P7 were in the "Lord and Ladies". They learned about patience, courage, wisdom and serving through the stories of David, Esther, Solomon, Mary and Jesus.
The theme of the Senior Holiday club was "Marvelous" and here are some of the photos of the week.

On 26th June 2011, we celebrated along with our children for our Children's day. The theme this year was the B-I-B-L-E, linking in with the series that Norman and Richard were teaching. As well as 2 soloists, we had a drama demonstrating that the answer to all our questions are in the Bible.
Richard showed by washing, drying and pulling gel in one of our children's hair that:
- Our hair is dirty - our hearts are dirty with sin
- Need to wash hair - need to have forgiveness to remove sin. Only God can do this because we "are worth it"
- Need to dry hair to avoid getting sick - not enough to have sins forgiven, we need to be plugged in to God's Word: the bible
- Need to use gel - the Holy Spirit moulds and shapes us to be more like God
After the church service, many joined together for a picnic at Glenariff Forest Park. Here are some of the photos of the day.
