Meet our Intern
Over the past number of years we have taken on interns to work alongside our director for youth ministries. These interns are dedicated Christians between the ages of 18 to 25, who have a desire to serve God, a heart for people and a willingness to learn. They are involved in a wide variety of church ministries, spend time training and studying to gain accredited qualifications and are encouraged to grow in their faith and service. This year we have taken on one intern called Chris.
Chris is 25 years old and a Sports Science graduate. It was his love of sports that helped him decide to go to university and study Sports Science at Jordanstown, where he left a couple of years ago.
As far as my story of faith goes it wasn’t until I turned 16 years old that I became a Christian. I had heard the words, “Jesus loves you!” so many times growing up but it was only when I was 16 that I really learnt what that meant and gave my life to Christ. It happened when we had a visit from Crown Jesus Ministries to our BB and the guy was speaking about the love God showed him. It finally started clicking for me what it really meant to be a Christian. Since that day I have been a leader in most church youth organisations. I love getting to meet new people and being someone that people can come and speak to.
I’m looking forward to seeing the plans God has in store for High Kirk this year. I’m excited about getting to know everyone and learning more about church life.
