Meet our Interns

Over the past number of years we have taken on interns to work alongside our director for youth ministries. These interns are dedicated Christians between the ages of 18 to 25, who have a desire to serve God, a heart for people and a willingness to learn. They are involved in a wide variety of church ministries, spend time training and studying to gain accredited qualifications and are encouraged to grow in their faith and service. This year we have taken on two interns called Katie and Lauren.

Katie Moles

My name is Katie and I am 18 years old, I have just finished my A-levels and I have received a place in university, to study theology, in 2018. The place you are most likely to find me is in Middletown or India.. – the two places I am most fond of!

I have attended High Kirk since I can remember, attending crèche straight through to Rush Hour, GB, Ignite, Youth Club, Holiday Bible Club and The Movement. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of these things growing up and have benefited greatly from them.

One hope I have for the year ahead would definitely to be being open to challenges and pushing myself beyond what I would normally do! I am really excited and open to see what God is going to do through me and how He is going to use me! I really want to invest in the young people of High Kirk, to help equip them in their relationship with God and walk alongside them as they grow.

If you don’t know me, please don’t be a stranger! It would be great to develop new relationships with you all.

Lauren Hood

I’m Lauren, 18 years old and have just recently finished school at Cambridge House. I love my family, friends, music (a bit too much), coffee and I am a bit of a TV addict! High Kirk is where I grew up, and I came to faith when I was 15 at Summer Madness. After that everything changed.

I started to attend Ignite, where I got the incredible opportunity to lead worship alongside many amazing young people and that’s when I realised worship was something God had placed on my heart. I am really excited to see what God has in store for me this year as I get involved within different ministries; I want to be challenged and pushed and being an Intern will give me the opportunity to do so.

A hope of mine is to see God challenge, inspire and stir within the hearts of the People in this church, this town and more! I want to see His Kingdom grow and I am beyond thrilled to be part of this incredible journey; getting to share the love of Jesus with all!
