PERSONAL ENCOURAGEMENT

There’s a lot to be sad about: The life of a teenager is normally fast paced.
deaths; not getting to see friends in real life; School work to complete, after school
cancelled mission trips and summer clubs, sports, friends to catch up with and
programmes; not being able to meet up as organisations to attend and that’s before
a church to worship Jesus. But there have we think about church and the diff erent

I’ve been really blessed during this time in and yet lockdown has given youth a diff erent

diff erent organisations cancelled, it has given young people, lockdown has created less
us more time to spend together, growing in stress and more rest. Life was unsustainable
our faith. before. It is little wonder mental health has

Normally this time of year can be slower for demands too much of us. I think this has
church youth programmes. Many of our been a good change and one which I hope
youth would be highly stressed out preparing will last far beyond lockdown.
for exams. However, with exams being
cancelled this year, we’ve been able to take Clifford White
time to run a few diff erent programmes.
We’ve spent the last weeks doing a Worship
course on Tuesday nights and a Thursday
night Bible study called ‘Into the Word’, both
of which have been very benefi cial.
