ALPHA

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith

What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the big questions of life in an open and friendly environment. It runs over 10 weeks.

What happens at Alpha? Each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together. The questions are:

Session 1 Is there more to Life than This?
Session 2 Who is Jesus?
Session 3 Why Did Jesus Die?
Session 4 How Can I have Faith?
Session 5 Why and How Do I Pray?
Session 6 Why and How Should I Read the Bible?
Session 7 How does God guide us?
Session 8 Day away
Session 9 How Can I Make the Most of the Rest of My Life?
Session 10 What About the church?

What does Alpha look like? On each of the evenings, we will meet at 6.30pm for dinner in the Foyer before starting each session. We will watch a video, have a discussion time and a safe space to ask questions before finishing around 9pm.

How much is it? There’s no charge.

The next Alpha will start on Wednesday 28th January at 6.30pm in High Kirk. If you would like to come along to our next Alpha course please sign up using the form below. You can also use the form to sign up others, who wish to attend.
