How to Read the Bible (1)

On Sunday evenings we will be looking at how to read the Bible. This is not as simple as it looks. Yes, we should read it regularly and devotionally but in this series we will seek to answer questions like:

  • can we trust the Bible;
  • how do we interpret the Bible;
  • what happens if different bits of the Bible seem to contradict each other;
  • are there parts of the Bible that are out of date;
  • should we read the different types of writing in the Bible (genres) in different ways;
  • should we apply Old Testament laws today;
  • what about all the killings and wars in the Bible?

These and other questions we will deal with in this series. Join us on Sunday evenings as we explore this marvellous and unique book. Oh, and bring your Bible.

Evening services will usually not be shown online and reservations will be on a first to book basis.

Due to social distancing measures there is a reduced capacity in our church building. In order to safely maximise our capacity, we require everyone to register in advance of attending services. Please read our guide (including registration details) for coming to church. If you would like to attend a church service, please contact the church office by email or call 028 2564 4834 on Mondays or Tuesdays between 9.30am and 1pm.
